2.0 oz bacon fat washed Cirrus Vodka*
1.0 oz lemon juice 
.75 oz (1 1/2 Tbsp) orange juice 
.75 (1 1/2 Tbsp) simple syrup


Dash of angostura bitters
Dash of salt

Pepper to taste


Put vodka, lemon juice, orange juice and simple syrup  into cocktail shaker

Add egg-white and ice and shake to blend

Double strain

Top with black pepper, angostura bitters, and bacon garnish

Bacon Fat Washed Vodka:

Cook approx half a packet of bacon and reserve the resultant bacon grease. 

Try to leave as many solids behind as possible. (Expensive bacon will yield less grease and more bacon may be needed.)


Pour (1) 750ml bottle of vodka into a wide mouthed container along with the warm (not hot) bacon grease. The original bottle may become clogged with solids so a wide mouthed container is recommended. Be careful not to burn yourself and make sure that the container you use will not melt. (Don't use plastic!)


Mix the vodka and bacon-grease mixture lightly and let stand at room temperature for 15-30 min.


Place your container in the freezer for approx 1 hour. Bacon grease will congeal and return to a solid state. 


Remove mixture from the freezer and strain through a wire strainer. 

Strain a second time through a coffee filter. Multiple filters may need to be used. 


Re-bottle and label your bacon vodka.
